MOSCOT EYEGLASS STORE
Moscot Eyeglasses are a well-know brand, founded in 1915 in New York. Today, it has various stores in the New York area, plus stores in Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Toronto, and Austin. And this is the newest store in Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida.

The store chain has its own in-house architect, Lloyd Fruchtman, who contacted me from Atlanta, Georgia. He crafted the original architectural design in alignment with their brand identity. Maria Luisa Castellanos, R.A., LEED AP, president of United Architects, Inc., was the local architect who provided the permit plans for this retail store to meet the Florida Building Code and the local Miami regulations.

Overview of the Entire Store
In this case, all the cabinetry was fabricated elsewhere and then shipped to Miami and installed.

The general contractor, Daniel Garcia, the owner of DVG Builders, Inc., did a wonderful job. The installation of all the finishes was top notch! They were very organized and finished the project very quickly. One of the things that helped the project along is that
he hired private inspectors so they did not have to wait for the city inspectors to come and look at the project as it was being built.
His private inspectors were on call so that they could finish faster.

In all, it was a great experience with the client and the general contractor.
