Project 8

COCONUT GROVE REMODELING

This house was a wreck.  Some before photos are below.  When I got there, the drywall had already been stripped off the walls.  The house had intermediate bearing partitions and many small rooms.  The clients wanted a wide open space for their living and dining room.

The house also had another issue.  This house had already had an addition.  The original house was a wood structure.  The addition wrapped around the original house.  So part of the eastern wall was still made out of wood.

The solution for this project was to restructure the interior of the house with steel beams and then replace the exterior wood wall with a concrete block one.

The windows were all replaced.  The interior of the house was completely reconfigured to make it an open plan.
