EXAMPLE OF AN ACCESSORY DWELLING AND COURTYARD HOME FOR MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
The main house in this design is a courtyard home. The spaces are arranged around a courtyard. The advantages of this are the
ability to have cross-ventilation throughout the home and minimize the use of air-conditioning, particularly in the Miami winter.

The courtyard also creates a focus for the house, bringing the outside spaces into the house.
In addition, I am showing an example of an accessory dwelling unit or guesthouse which can now be built in many zoning districts of Miami-Dade County. As a Miami residential architect, I can help you with the design and construction documents for your legal accessory unit.
